Sketches Week of 4/3 to 4/12/12

Koala Bank

The knees and feet are a bit too square.. need to make the shading more graduated right knee it is too distinct and needs to be softened down..... I was trying to get depth in rounded form --- missed !!!!

I got this dictionary when I returned to Mass Bay Community College...  Most improved student award...  before going into the Military I really wasn't much of a student so when I returned 4 years later it wasn't too difficult to demonstrate improvement

This is one of my first attempts at drawing figures... didnt really have a reference there is too much to work on to list here... the things I like is that they are all different poses, sizes and sexes...

I was waiting to go have breakfast while staying at the Best Western in Montreal.. The restaurant didn't open up until 6am and of course I have been up for hours>

This is my first attempt at a sunset or sunrise...  area of glow needs to be more abstract and need more color transition between yellow and pink as well as reflection of light into water needs to be more consistent between light source and reflection in water.....

Scavanger Hunt 3/26-4/3/2012

Standing at smuggler's beech in South Yarmouth It was very cold and windy...  I really love the beech when no one is there. It is so peaceful...

This is the beech entrance that mal and I use when we go to the beech.. It's mainly for residents. For some reason I find it quite peaceful and relaxing...  this came out terrible but I will work on this for sure...

There is some marshland accross from smuggler's beech I find quite enticing...  I think I will be doing more paintings of this area...  This is watercolor and I am sure I will end up doing an oil painting of this area at some point.....
